Eating for Three

The spotting has gone away:  Hooray!

Now I'm focusing on having a healthy pregnancy and carrying these twins to term.  Has anybody else started following Dr. Luke's book "When you're expecting Twins, Triplets or Quads?" I'm on day 2 of the feeding frenzy and wondering how every one else is doing.

I have never eaten so much food in my entire life.  But her research shows that gaining a boatload of weight early on reduces NICU, preterm labor, preterm delivery and preeclampsia (all the bad pre stuff).

Anyhoo, any of you other twinners following her advice?  Can we commiserate on how much food 3500 nutritious calories really represents?

I'm so glad the spotting stopped. Nothing is a s reassuring as no spotting.

I was going to say that would be easy . . .then you threw in 'nutritious' I always liked to eat nuts early in a pregnancy and they might be calorie packed.

GL!

Wow - hard for us "oldies" to relate to the "dreadful problem" you're having there, lady. Milkshakes? Smoothies? Double-decker sandwiches??? (shaking head in horror ;-) Really glad the alarm has stopped ringing though. And hey, go have an ice cream cone in my honor, OK?

Hooray for no more spotting! And ice cream is very healthy, I'm sure even better with nuts in it (like Rocky Road?!) mmmm. Well, at least in moderation. You do have a lot of mouths to feed!

Good to hear I'm not the only one already on my way to gaining a ton of weight. I'm eating like a pig every day and I'm only 8 weeks along with twins too. Enjoy the food freedom for now is what I say!
