I never, ever thought I'd blog about Clay Aiken. But when he and a 50 year old woman conceive a child, I, for one, know that woman used Donor Eggs. So did he want a child so badly that he is having this friend of his carry a DE child or did she want a child so badly that she used DE and asked him to contribute.
I honestly don't care about any of that except that she is OBVIOUSLY using Donor Eggs and everyone else thinks she just got really lucky with IVF.

- Our son was conceived after two months of "trying." Imagine our surprise when the next 8 pregnancies ended in miscarriages (5 chemical pgs and 3 clinical m/cs ranging from 8 weeks to 12 weeks). We've considered adoption but started trying donor eggs first. Our frist DE cycle was with frozen donor eggs. Our 1st fresh cycle was canceled when the donor tested (falsely) positive for HIV. We also think I may have an auto-immune issue. We are pregnant with twins after our 3rd DE cycle, the first one we got to "try" with!

Hrm. I didn't realize her age. I was too squicked out by the idea of Clay Aiken having a kid ;) I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he's too much for me, IYKWIM.
I know, I know. It's almost like an inside secret known only by the stirrup queens. It certainly does the next generation a disservice to keep it that way. Heck, it was a disservice to OUR generation too.
