Crappity Crap Crap Crap

Well, there are apparently no suitable donors willing and available for October. There are donors available, but they are not proven. There are also proven donors available, but they appear to have problems (28 eggs retrieved and no frosties; they live across country adding in thousands of dollars to the fee).

There is one donor who is willing to cycle in November. We're trying to find out whether that will be early, mid or late November.

Then we'll be hitting December, which if October is a problem, I'm sure everyone will be lining up to donate over Christmas. Then with my maternity/academic schedule, we're now looking at a February cycle.

I am beyond sad.

I'm so sorry - I'm in the middle of a potential donor flake-out and trying to find a back up for when it happens. I truly feel your pain.

Hope the November donor comes through for you!

That sucks, and I do hope that your November possibility comes through. FWIW, we used an unproven donor this time. No pregnancy yet, but we have kind of interefered with that by transferring so few embryos each time (one on the fresh, and one on the first FET (though we would have transferred two if both had survived). Hugs.

Ok, deep breath. This totally sucks. It still doesn't change the end result. You WILL get there! I was dealing with starting my cycle later than I had hoped and things turned out for the better. Stuff changes overnight in this process. Keep the faith and stay on your path. I am so sorry!

I'm so sorry. I know how it is to just want to get started. 6 months from now seems like an eternity.

Oh, Anita :-(

I'm so sorry to hear about this latest road block. Must say, I am sort of running out of chipper optimistic words for these comments.

:-(

The only thing I do know for sure though is that when you finally do meet your new baby one day, the reason for all these problems will become clear -- he or she is the one you're waiting for, and she or he will be absolutely the perfect addition to your precious family.

Hang-in-there Hugs!

I'm sorry. I understand how hard it is to wait and deal with the uncertainty. When I found out my clinic was going to be a long wait, I found my own donor via friends. It turned out to be a good path for us.

I hope things turn around sooner than you expect.
